Fall Beauties

There is just something about Fall that makes a heart happy.  Kara and I lived in Arizona for a long time and it just isn't the same there as it is in a place like Oregon.  The leaves are beautiful and look like they are painted by God's hands!  Each one looks so different and falls at a different pace.  Some leaves hang on longer than others.  Just because they fall doesn't mean they are of no use! In fact, I know of two little kids who are going to LOVE playing in some big piles of leaves in the coming weeks.  Some people look at it as more work- raking, and cleaning yards, and the impending winter looming around the corner.... But I look at it as time for change... Putting to rest things that no longer serve us in preperation of future growth.

Yes, fall has been magical for us.  Pumpkin patches, farms, making yummy treats, long sleeve shirts and cozy hats- just something so sweet and loving about it.

Kara and I walked to get coffee today and stopped by the Wednesday Farmer's Market and got some apples to make an apple pie and some apple dumplings with this weekend!  We also got some green peppers to make stuffed peppers!  Our kids LOVE to eat and so it is always fun making new recipes for them to try and gobble up!
