We just took our son to get him registered at the Deaf school this morning. The IEP meeting went really well and I think it will be a great placement- at least for now. I feel so blessed that we have such a great community of support to back us as we take all of these first steps and try to jump into ours kiddos' lives 8 years late! I cannot imagine going through this entire process alone. I can't imagine how lonely, isolating, and difficult it must be. I don't want anyone to feel that way.... It's a scary place.
With all the great news and exciting stuff that is happening, we do have something we are hoping you might pray about... My job! We knew the risk of "soft money" and working on a grant project but at the time it was still almost 2 years out and we thought we would be fine. We now have some major competitors so that is a little scary! I don't know if I will have a job the end of September so I am just praying that God will provide- whether in this job or another.... so we can support our family!
