Substitute!

So S lucked out yesterday :)  She had a substitute!  We will see how things went today, assuming her teacher is back in the classroom.  S was ON last night. She had that math paper done in maybe 45 minutes and asked to COLOR a few pictures after that.  I was so impressed with her speedy math and no complaining about reading that I offered her the reward she longs for....Some TV time on a school night.  She turned it down to color!  Be still my heart!

So, here is hoping that today went better.  I'm nervous because her grandparents are supposed to stop by her classroom sometime today before they fly back to IL tomorrow, and I bet that's probably all she can think about!  We shall see after school today-- lol.

In other news, we are hurrying to try and finalize our adoption by the end of the year.  I think we will finalize in Texas.  We had originally thought we would finalize in Oregon because we wanted to have a ceremony at the court house, but we were going to miss finalization in 2010 by about 15 days... It seems silly to wait.  We thought maybe one of us would have to fly to TX, but it looks like we might be able to call in and do our finalization from home!  Thank GOD!  :) 

We are crazy about our kiddos- no matter how crazy they make us! smile... And it just will be nice to be able to say- YEP, you are legally OURS.
