It's Friday! I am thrilled that we have arrived at another weekend :) Life is great. I dropped my car off this morning and hope to get it fixed so that we can use my car more often-- better on gas and save K's car for longer trips! Exciting :)
The weather has been so nice the past few days. We are counting our lucky stars because any time now it will start to rain and not stop for the next 6 months!! Everything is changing colors and it is just beautiful.
We will head to a fun family farm tomorrow to run through corn mazes, hay mazes, see the animals and go on the hay rides... Our kids are so excited. We didn't think we would let them dress up or go out for Halloween since it really isn't a great holiday, but we decided that they deserve to have this experience and by next year they will be too old... so why not. We will talk to them about how some people use the day for bad choices, but that we are just going to dress up like the Red Sox team or something like that.. .Just to be cute. Our daughter has a festival at her school on the 28th, I think, so that will be fun.
Our kids and I had a great morning. We practiced for S's multiplication test and for T's reading test. They both were so chipper and smiley this morning. They are excited that tonight they will have a babysitter :) and us Mom's are equally as excited to have a night together... But probably like last time, we will talk about the kids and miss them as soon as we leave.. Life just isn't the same when they aren't around. :)
Sunday (or if we aren't too tired tomorrow after the farm) we will take the pumpkins that we picked and decorate some and cook the others to use in pies, cookies, and bread :) What a fun fall weekend! Thank you God for giving us these moments. We are so very blessed.
