It really has been 10 days since my last update...that is 1/3 of a month! Wow, time really does go by quickly- but sometimes it feels so SLOW! Depending on the moment you ask me, I guess...
OK, I have a TON of pictures, updates, and stuff to get up here today. *laughs*
This will probably seem like a random post! But, I am random....
OK, first things first. Let's talk about UPDATES!
I spent hours yesterday filling out 3 additional forms per child that discussed subsidy, our income, and reasons to support our need for state assistance to help pay for the kids' counseling/therapy. This paperwork really took a long time to fill out and forced me to sit down and think about whether or not we would be able to provide for our kids' most basic needs...and what above that we could provide. I really think that is takes a LOT of work to adopt and it would probably be the best form of birth control if every person had to do as MUCH work, research, planning, writing, reflecting, and analyzing as we have to do in order to navigate the system.
(Since I started this post on the 26 and now it is the 27, I already sent those forms, our Welcome book, and cards for the kids case worker and the kids....We shall see!!)
It seems that although we wanted to travel in June that we will not get to travel until sometime in July to acutally meet the kiddos. We are excited that it is getting closer with each passing day. I think we will have our official Video meeting either June 7 or the 11th. At that point we will be able to ask the kids' worker and their foster mom all the questions that we have been waiting to ask. We will then be officially "presented" as the kids' adoptive parents in TX eyes. We could still turn back once we met the kids, but we really are praying that won't happen and that everything will be smooth sailing from this point onward!!!
Our hope is to get to TX early July for either a long weekend or a week. If we have to stay the entire week then it would have to be later in July as Kara isn't finished with her class until July 15th, and I have to give a workshop out of state on July 14th! So, if we can go for a long weekend then maybe we could go early July and then hopefully they will get to transiton shortly thereafter!! We are praying!! No matter what date we are just mostly praying for God's will and His guidance!!
Here are some cute updates I have been playing with for our daughter's room:

Knobs painted and then glued together |

Tomorrow the kids' caseworker should get the book and our last paperwork, we are PRAYING that it all is going to go acroding to His will!
We are hoping that once the kiddos get here that we can do a lot of bonding! I told my Grandma Sarah about the kids today and she was excited. I am SO BLESSED that all of our family is so loving, graceful, and accepting. I really praise God and give Him all the glory!!
I am just going to post a bunch of random pictures because I keep meaning to finish this post and I can't seem to do it! LOL SO, here are some pictures from our trip to Seattle and the progress in our garden! The End :)
