April 15, 2011

Today is a great day.  It started out kinda hectic because I had to take Kara's bike into Salem to get a tune-up before her big race that is coming up.  It was rainy and cold outside.  I got home and had to wait for the cable/Internet company to try and fix our Internet connection.  While I was pulling into the driveway I noticed a big box on our front doorstep... It was from Texas!  The files we have been waiting for have finally arrived.  Although we do not expect to find anything in these files that will make us change our minds, this is part of the formality of accepting our kids.  We know it will be hard to look through these files for so many reasons...
First, it will be bittersweet.  We can't wait to find out more information about our little miracles, but it will only make us want to get them that much sooner.  To hug them and kiss them and make up for all the hard things they have been through in their lives.  The files will be the only connection we have of their past... About what they have been through and little glimpses into who they have been all of these years.

Kids- when you are in our home and you are reading back through this blog- we want you to know that we loved you long before we ever even knew your names, read your files, or saw your pictures.  God has put you both on our hearts for as long as we can remember.  We can't wait to bring you home and to have family fun nights, pillow fights, camp outs, and bake fun treats... Life will finally begin when you both arrive and we can't wait... We love you both so very much.
