April 14, 2011

I have decided that one way to honor my kids is to create a blog that will keep track of our journey to find them.  We have been looking for so long and have prayed for just the right kids to be identified for our loving arms. This process isn't fast or easy...but we know and believe it is God inspired.  We vow to take it a step at a time and to pray for more patience when it seems that we are running low.

We pray for our kids every night and day.  We think of them, dream of them, decorate their rooms, and talk about them as if they were already here.  We tell them and everyone we know that we love them.  They don't even know we exist yet, but we already have such a deep love for them that we cannot explain.  Oh the day we meet them face to face, the day we bring them home... Those will be such days of rejoicing like none we have ever known.

So, here is Day 1 of my attempt to blog about our journey.

Today is like any other spring day in Oregon.  It is rainy and chilly and everyone is itching for summer and the sun.  The daffodils are folding up and giving way to the beautiful tulips of every color.  We are going to a tulip farm/festival this weekend and hope for some sunshine!  The farmer's markets are starting to open back up for the year and we are so excited to support local farmers, artists, and other people who bring their goods to sell.  The town here is so small and it almost seems like something out of a painting from the 50s.  We are so happy here and cannot wait for little kids to join us and enjoy the peace, love, and joy that is Oregon.
